In which our intrepid hero questions the sanity of the US government’s approach to climate change.

Michael Crichton—the guy behind Jurassic Park et al—has been called as an expert witness to the US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. His qualifications? He wrote a book disputing global warming: a fictional work called State of Fear, which Senator James Inhofe, Chair of the Committee, liked.

It seems that Inhofe disagrees with the whole anthropogenic climate change deal. And, incidentally, can’t tell fact from fiction. Hmmm.
